Francis L. Minerve, the author of Craniosacral yoga®, was inspired by her extensive experience of the craniosacral therapist and by the studies of Thai massage as an ancient method of applying touch and pressure. A long meditation practice enabled her to perceive both herself and the world around her on a completely different level. Her second passion is science which nowadays further explains what Dr. John E. Upledger dedicated his whole life to. Craniosacral therapy does exist. Unfortunately, John. E. Upledger died before the function of the glymphatic system was discovered. Craniosacral yoga® is devoted to the Goddess Tara who is pictured in meditation in a half lotus pose with one leg touching the ground. She can be seen as a bridge between Hindu and Buddhist tradition which relates to Craniosacral yoga® as well as it connects both traditions. She is the embodiment of compassion, maturity, light and kindness.
